The graph compares the amount of time that was necessary to create one car by such corporations, as Audi, Mercedes, Volvo and Nissan over the period between 1999 and 2006.
It is clear that Audi spent by far the most amount of time to make a vehicle until almost 2002 among these four companies, when the figures of Mercedes eventually surpassed those for Audi. Nissan demonstrated the shortest production duration over the whole period.
There was noticeable changes in the length of production of one automobile by three manufacturers from 1999 to 2002. By 2002 Audi and Nissan had been spending less by nearly 5 and 2 hours per car respectively in comparison with 1999, while the figures for Mercedes risen approximately from 25 to 27 hours.
By 2006 the average time spent for one automobile by Audi and Mercedes had plummeted from 32 hours to around 22.5 hours and from nearly 27 hours to 23.9 hours. The figures of Nissan had eventually aligned with Volvo at roughly 21.5 hours per car. By contrast, there were no significant changes in the trends for volvo over the period as a whole.
